L'ampli - LES FANTÔMES D'HÉROUVILLE
The ghosts of the legendary Hérouville studio have taken possession of Sylvain Griotto's hands, their spirits passing through them and asking to be revived on stage.
The French Abbey Road, the haunted castle of rock, Honky château - many are the nicknames of Hérouville castle, located some thirty kilometres from Paris in the Vexin region. This grand residence, built in 1740 on the ruins of the former manor house of Louis IV's natural daughter, was also a coaching inn and saddlery.
It is said to have housed the secret love affairs of Frédéric Chopin and Georges Sand.
Buoyed by the success of his performance at the Olympia as support act for Birds on a Wire in 2021, and at the 1001 notes Festival in Limoges, Sylvain Griotto, with the help of his friend Catherine Pierre, is putting together this stage project based around the ghosts of the Château d'Hérouville!
From Chopin to Bowie, Michel Magne to Higelin, they all want, for just a few minutes, to have another chance to express their love of music and their creative madness, and they find their way back to the stage via the inhabited artist who blindly entrusts himself to them! Sylvain Griotto is not afraid, he himself grew up in a haunted house!
