La Celle-saint-Cloud theater - ELDORADO 1528
The incredible odyssey of a conquistador shipwrecked in the Amerindian world
In the spring of 1528, Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca was just another conquistador preparing to land in Florida in search of the mythical city of El Dorado.
The expedition was a fiasco and ended in shipwreck.
Eight years later, Alvar reappeared on the other side of the continent, in Mexico. Almost naked, at the head of an escort of almost a thousand Indians, he is unrecognisable.
How did he manage to survive alone in the middle of nowhere? How did he manage to survive alone in the middle of the Amerindian world, and above all, what did he see?
Follow in the footsteps of Cabeza de Vaca for the most extraordinary story of the exploration of the American continent!
Following on from the success of Amok (Molière 2016 for Best Male Newcomer), Alexis Moncorgé takes us on a captivating one-man show.
Atelier Théâtre Actuel in coproduction with Théâtre du Petit Montparnasse, AGM Production, Tramuser and Will Invest
