The Mallard family is in the grip of a domestic dilemma. While Mack is totally content to wade peacefully and permanently with his family in their little New England pond, his wife Pam would be more the type to shake up this routine a little to show the rest of the world to her children - Dax, who is already no longer a duckling, and his little sister Gwen. When they stop off with a family of migratory ducks, it's the perfect opportunity for Pam to persuade Mack to follow in their footsteps and embark on a family trip to Jamaica, via New York. As they fly off to sunny Jamaica for the winter, the Mallards' well-laid plans quickly fall apart. But the chaotic and unexpected turn of events will change them forever and teach them much more than they ever imagined.

Migration is a feature-length film from Illumination Studios, the makers of The Minions, Despicable Me, Like Beasts and On Stage. They have entrusted the direction of Migration to Frenchman Benjamin Renner, whose credits include Ernest and Celestine and The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales.
