Victor Hugo and Les Misérables, from reality to ideal exhibition
The exhibition is organised around the literary monument that is the novel Les Misérables, which has touched readers around the world for two centuries.
But Victor Hugo's inspiring fight for children's rights, women's rights and the right to education, as well as his political and civic commitment to fighting poverty, are also highlighted.
We wanted to enhance the exhibition with items from the collections of the Maison Victor Hugo places des Vosges, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the Bibliothèque du Sénat, which did us the honour of agreeing to lend us some of their items. We thank them most sincerely.
