Royal Opera - The wonders of romanticism
Romanticism knew three dazzling geniuses, with exceptional glory. Franz Schubert, Félix Mendelssohn and Frédéric Chopin, these three prodigies of Romanticism come together for a concert imbued with virtuosity as well as passion.
After winning First Prize in the Long-Thibaud International Competition in 2022, and setting the stage of the Royal Opera on fire the previous season in Beethoven's The Emperor, the young Korean Hyuk Lee tackles the most romantic of piano concertos! The following year, it was the Ukrainian violinist Bohdan Luts who won all the laurels of the Long-Thibaud competition (First Grand Prize, Press Prize, Public Prize and Orchestra Prize) at only eighteen years old! He will perform one of the greatest violin concertos in the repertoire, accompanied by the brilliant Victor Jacob at the head of the Royal Opera Orchestra!
A trio of musical geniuses for this romantic evening full of color and emotion!
