Hidden treasures of the Lambinet Museum
For the first time, the collections of the Lambinet Museum will invest the Espace Richaud, in the heart of the former royal hospital. A journey into art from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century will be proposed.
A museum of collectors, a jewel case for a wide variety of works, the Lambinet Museum houses treasures that, for many of them, are usually little or not visible. Some, too precious or too fragile, are kept in the museum's reserves. Others, though integrated into the path of permanent collections, are unjustly ignored as these collections are rich.
From September 20 to November 17, 2019, nearly fifty pieces will be exhibited: furniture, works of art, drawings, paintings, sculptures ... Some of them will be unveiled for the first time. This is notably the case of certain works from the former Houdon museum, now housed in the Bibliothèque municipale, which will join for the first time those of the Musée Lambinet in this exceptional presentation.
